The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government stated today that it has adopted the Decision on the distribution of RSD 462,952,000 to local government units as part of the Programme of Support for the Development and Functioning of the Local Self-Government System.

The statement reads that approximately 30 local government units throughout Serbia received support based on a public call.
The allocated funds are aimed at the implementation of projects that have a direct impact on the quality of life of citizens, including the construction and reconstruction of municipal infrastructure, the improvement of public facilities, the strengthening of digital and administrative capacities, as well as the organisation of cultural, sports and tourist events.
The aim of all supported activities is to improve the efficiency, accessibility and quality of services provided by public administration to citizens.
The Ministry awarded the cities of Smederevo, Vranje and Novi Pazar, as well as the Municipality of Blace, for the best examples of good governance in 2025, and allocated RSD 90 million for the establishment of ten new single administrative points in local government units across the country.
