The Ministry of European Integration stated today that the Government has instructed all state bodies to place special attention when preparing laws or by-laws to the compliance of the proposed regulation with the EU acquis, as well as to whether there has been previous consultation with the European Commission regarding the proposed regulation.

The Ministry of European Integration will be tasked with monitoring the implementation of these rules.
Specifically, all proposers of regulations transposing the EU acquis will be required to previously obtain the opinion of the Ministry of European Integration, without whose verification it will not be possible to adopt laws and by-laws relevant for the process of Serbia’s accession to the EU.
