These amendments also allocate funds in the total amount of RSD 300 million for special incentives for the implementation of breeding programmes, the production of planting material, certification and clonal selection, as well as for promotional activities in agriculture and rural development.
Additionally, more than RSD 4 billion has been allocated for the first-quarter milk premiums in the current year.
The government members also adopted the Decision on the establishment of the Council for the Rights of the Child.
Minister for Family Care and Demography Jelena Žarić Kovačević was appointed Chair of the Council.
The government members also adopted the Decision on financing the procurement of textbooks from the state budget for the 2026/2027 school year, primarily for students who are socially and financially disadvantaged, as well as for students with developmental and other disabilities.
The Ministry of Education has also provided free textbooks in the languages of national minorities for these categories of students.
Furthermore, the government adopted decisions on awarding monetary prizes for sporting achievements to Angelina Topić for winning a silver medal at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in the Olympic discipline of athletics – high jump, and to her coach Dragutin Topić, in the same amount, €25,000 each in dinar equivalent.
The government also adopted the Decision agreeing to establish cooperation between the city of Jagodina and the Chinese city of Zibo in the areas of economy, trade, science and technology, education, public health, as well as human resources development.
