Around 500 delegates from all over the world stayed in Belgrade from 10 to 12 March. A total of 24 contracts were signed at the 2nd IPM, among the 137 countries that have so far confirmed their attendance at the exhibition next year, further confirming that Serbia is the absolute record holder for the number of participating states at Specialised Expos.
The opening ceremony of the 2nd IPM, the delegates’ activities and the mini news conferences were covered by 57 media outlets from Serbia and abroad, with the presence of around 170 journalists, cameramen and photojournalists.
Participants in the meeting at the Sava Centre were welcomed by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali, Commissioner of Expo 2027 and Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade Jagoda Lazarević, Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions Dimitri Kerkentzes and EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade Director Danilo Jerinić, whose addresses were covered by more than 30 cameras.
During the first two days of the IPM, ministers, ambassadors and directors of national institutions responsible for economy, trade, innovation, tourism, culture and sport took part in discussions aimed at defining, together with the organisers, the next steps for their countries’ participation in Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade.
Participants of the 2nd IPM held a total of 24 mini news conferences, at which they presented plans for their pavilions, as well as the themes and activities through which they will next year bring their rich traditions, identity and art closer to the entire world.
Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade, under the theme “Play for Humanity – Sport and Music for All”, will be held from 15 May to 15 August 2027 in Belgrade.
