At the session, the Conclusion adopting the Annual Plan for the implementation of the participation of the Serbian Armed Forces and other defence forces in multinational operations in 2026 was also adopted. It will apply until a new annual plan is adopted.
Serbia is among the countries actively participating in the establishment and preservation of peace and stability worldwide, thereby making a significant contribution to building equal partnerships with the member states of the United Nations and the European Union.
At the same time, participation in United Nations peacekeeping operations fulfils the international obligations undertaken through the conclusion of international legal instruments. This sends a signal of the political maturity and stability of the country and its institutions.
The members of the Government also adopted the Conclusion designating the Staro Sajmište Memorial Centre in New Belgrade as the holder of the right to use the real estate owned by the Republic of Serbia, comprising the building of the Staro Sajmište Memorial Centre, and granting consent for the Centre to exercise, on behalf of and for the account of the Republic of Serbia, the rights and obligations of the investor and perform other professional tasks for the purpose of carrying out works on the rehabilitation, adaptation and reconstruction of the said building.
The adoption of this conclusion creates the conditions for the continuation of the development and restoration of the Staro Sajmište complex, one of the most significant sites commemorating the suffering during the Second World War, while preserving its historical and cultural heritage.
