Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić spoke today by telephone with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Constantinos Kombos regarding current developments and the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the broader regional circumstances and emphasised the importance of a swift return to peace and stability.
Đurić expressed full solidarity with the people of Cyprus and condemned all attempts to call into question the security of the island.
In the part of the conversation dedicated to bilateral cooperation, strong mutual support and the traditional friendship between the two countries were reaffirmed, as well as their determination to further strengthen political dialogue and cooperation at all levels, based on consistent respect for the principles and values of international law.
