State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nevena Jovanović and Permanent State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland Ambassador Jukka Salovaara today expressed their readiness to further improve bilateral relations through intensifying political dialogue and strengthening economic cooperation.

Jovanović stressed the importance of continuous and open dialogue between Serbia and Finland, emphasising Serbia’s commitment to further improving overall relations and deepening cooperation in areas of common interest.
Salovaara underlined that Finland supports the European Union's enlargement policy, stressing the importance of including the entire Western Balkans region in the EU.
He noted that Finland’s support is based on the results achieved in the reform process, as well as that it sees Serbia as an institutionally stable state with the potential for reform processes.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on current multilateral topics, referring to the conclusions of this year’s session of the United Nations Human Rights Council and opportunities for continued cooperation within the UN system.
