At one of the main sessions, AIPAC President Bernard Kaminetsky gave special recognition to Minister Đurić for everything he did to free the hostages in Gaza, including the young pianist and Serbian-Israeli citizen Alon Ohel.
Kaminetsky also highlighted the efforts of the head of Serbian diplomacy in strengthening ties between peoples, thanking the leadership of the Republic of Serbia for receiving the AIPAC delegation in Belgrade.
The AIPAC President conveyed gratitude to the Serbian Foreign Minister and the former ambassador for his unwavering support, moral clarity, and commitment to strengthening ties between the peoples.
Speaking about the importance of the gathering, Đurić emphasised that participation in the AIPAC conference is an important opportunity to make Serbia’s voice heard at one of the most important political forums in Washington, as well as to present the priorities of Serbian foreign policy and the efforts that the country is making when it comes to improving international cooperation.
On the sidelines of the conference, the Serbian Foreign Minister had several meetings with representatives of American political and business circles, with whom he exchanged views on further improving Serbia’s bilateral relations with the US and Israel.
The evening session of the gathering was also marked by a performance by the young pianist Alon Ohel, as well as a moving testimony by his mother, Idit, about the family’s fight for Alon’s release.
