Minister for Family Care and Demography Jelena Žarić Kovačević said today, at the Pro Family Summit in Budapest, that for Serbia, family policy is a long-term investment in human capital.
Žarić Kovačević stated that RSD 55 billion was allocated for family support in 2025, and that the parental allowance system was also improved.
According to her, today, institutional and systemic support for families and strengthening their capacity to continue to cultivate traditional family values are more important than ever.
The Minister pointed out that the practice of bilateral dialogue between Serbia and Hungary is very developed and that there is a good basis for further deepening cooperation in the field of demography and population policy.
Žarić Kovačević, ahead of the Summit, spoke with Hungarian Minister of Culture and Innovation Balázs Hankó about strengthening cooperation in the field of family policy.
