Strengthening regional cooperation in field of women’s entrepreneurship

Belgrade/Skopje, 24 February 2026

Minister without portfolio in charge of gender equality, prevention of violence against women and economic and political empowerment of women Tatjana Macura met today in Skopje with female entrepreneurs from North Macedonia to discuss strengthening regional cooperation and support for women’s entrepreneurship.

At the meeting, Macura presented the recently launched campaign Women Propel Serbia, aimed at the economic empowerment of women, and proposed that this initiative be expanded to the regional level, including North Macedonia.

The proposal involves connecting female entrepreneurs from Serbia and North Macedonia through cooperation networks, joint education, seminars and market presence, exchange of knowledge and experiences, as well as cooperation in the preparation and writing of projects financed by European Union funds, which represents a significant development opportunity for both countries.

Representatives of the Association of Business Women of North Macedonia assessed the initiative of Minister Macura as positive, emphasising that regional networking opens up new opportunities for business growth, access to markets and the empowerment of women as carriers of economic development.
