Minister of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue Demo Beriša met in Budapest with State Secretary in the Government of Hungary in charge of relations with religious and minority communities Miklós Soltész.
On that occasion, it was assessed that the relations between Serbia and Hungary are exemplary when it comes to the protection and improvement of the rights of national minorities.
The officials also discussed the possibilities of exchanging good practices in the field of minority policies with the aim of further improving the position of the Serbian and Hungarian peoples and particularly emphasised the importance of cooperation in the field of education in the mother tongue, the preservation of cultural and spiritual heritage, as well as continuous dialogue with representatives of minority communities.
Beriša also visited the Self-Government of Serbs in Hungary.
On this occasion, special attention was paid to the issues of preserving the national, cultural and spiritual identity of our people and the importance of improving cooperation with the mother country was emphasised.
