Presidents of Serbia and Republika Srpska Boris Tadic and Dragan Cavic and prime ministers of Serbia and Republika Srpska Vojislav Kostunica and Milorad Dodik signed today in Banja Luka an Agreement on establishing special parallel relations between Serbia and Republika Srpska.

The officials of Serbia and Republika Srpska said that the Agreement will not remain a dead letter and pointed out that this document is based on the Dayton Peace Accords.
Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said that this Agreement is a confirmation of the Serbian government's firm commitment to respect the principles of international law, the Dayton Peace Accords, and the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244.
Kostunica said that this Agreement will be implemented to the benefit of citizens of Serbia and Republika Serbia and that it confirms Serbia's firm commitment to the expansion of regional cooperation and respect for international law.

Serbian President Boris Tadic stressed that he strongly supports integration processes and that Serbia has shown that it respects the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
President of Republika Srpska Dragan Cavic said that this event increases the stability of Serbia and Republika Srpska, but also the entire region.
Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said that this is a great day for Republika Srpska and added that the Agreement signed "is already being implemented in practice."
