Kostunica welcomed the opening of this press centre and said that in that way the two press centres of Tanjug, in Banja Luka and Belgrade are getting closer, which is very important for expanding economic, cultural, political and every other form of cooperation between Serbia and Republika Srpska.
He reiterated that the Agreement on establishing special and parallel relations between Serbia and Republika Srpska is very important and that it confirms Serbia's firm commitment to the expansion of regional cooperation and the respect for international law.
Dodik said that the opening of Tanjug MPC in Banja Luka will remove the lack of flow of information from Serbia to Republika Srpska and vice versa.
The opening ceremony was attended by presidents of Serbia and Republika Srpska Boris Tadic and Dragan Cavic, as well as Speaker of Republika Srpska parliament Igor Radojicic.
Director-General of Tanjug agency Luka Miceta said that Tanjug's MPC in Banja Luka and the one in Belgrade will make a whole.
According to him, those are the two most modern and technically best equipped press centres from Vienna to Athens.
The first press conference in Tanjug's press centre will be held by representatives of Dunav Osiguranje insurance company from Belgrade who opened a branch office in Banja Luka, and after that an agreement will be signed between representatives of the Privatisation Directorate of Republika Srpska and Hemofarm from Vrsac.
After that, a protocol on cooperation will be signed between representatives of the National Theatre of Republika Srpska and Zvezdara Teatar from Belgrade.
The conferences which will be held in Tanjug's MPC in Banja Luka will be recorded with an IP video camera and they can be seen over the Internet by using any web browser.
In addition to direct connection through the video link, journalists from Belgrade will have an opportunity to put questions through a direct conference connection.
All users of Tanjug's MPC in Banja Luka will be given a recording of press conferences in DVD format.
