The delegation will visit the agriculture ministries of England and Northern Ireland to discuss new procedures for improving the quality of agriculture policy in Serbia, the Ministry said in a statement. The Agency for Rural Payments will also exchange experiences with their UK colleagues, the statement added.
Ministry representatives will also visit the UK Central Scientific Laboratory, York, with whose representatives they will sign a two-year Twinning agreement worth €1.5 million.
During the project's realisation which will enable the construction of improved and more efficient systems for managing laboratories for the protection of flora and fauna in Serbia, young graduates and postgraduates will be chosen and trained for the work in national phytosanitary and veterinary laboratories.
With the inclusion of the UK laboratory and its experts, the successful realisation of the Twinning programme is guaranteed.
The Serbian delegation will also visit the UK government's Regulative Unit.
