The Serbian Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Services said today that the Big Prize of Serbian Tourism for 2005 will be awarded as part of the World Tourism Day at a special ceremony in the National Theatre on September 27.
A board managed by Minister of Trade, Tourism and Services Bojan Dimitrijevic is in charge of awarding the prize. The main criteria are results achieved, their sustainability and an innovative plan.
The awards in 11 categories will be given for results achieved in the previous year and contribution to competitive and sustainable tourism development. A total of 97 candidates issued candidacies.
The winners will receive statuettes of White Angel and TV Pink will broadcast the event alive.
The event that is for the first time organised by the Serbian Tourist Organisation is aimed at improving awareness of the importance of tourism that has recorded growth in the past years.
