Two US-funded agreements signed

Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining Radomir Naumov and Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Keith Simmons signed today two donation agreements funded by the US administration worth $686,000.
Under the agreements, the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) should do two feasibility studies, one for construction of gas capacity for combined production of heat and power energy on the territory of Nis, while the second one should deal with a combined facility that would use biomass on the territory of Kraljevo.
At the same time, the gas energy plant in Nis should have power of between 100 megawatts and 150 megawatts, while the biomass plant will have five megawatts of power.
Both documents also focus on ecological and energy effects, the statement added.
