The Police Directorate and the Emergency Situations Sector have been instructed to act jointly as of today, with more active involvement of members of the Gendarmerie, to respond to all challenges posed by the adverse weather and to ensure the safety of the population.
At the same time, at the Prime Minister’s initiative, businesses have joined in providing assistance, primarily by securing generators for the affected areas. Among the companies that responded immediately is the Chinese company Shandong, which has provided concrete support on the ground.
The Office of Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, continues to monitor the situation on an hourly basis and is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of citizens and to restore normal life in the affected communities as soon as possible.
