Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, received today Japanese Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia Akira Imamura on a farewell visit.
Prime Minister Macut expressed his gratitude to Imamura for his personal engagement and contribution to improving the overall relations between Serbia and Japan, pointing out that the bilateral relations were additionally strengthened in the previous period, especially in the fields of economic cooperation, infrastructure projects, education and cultural exchange.
Ambassador Imamura conveyed his gratitude for the support and cooperation during his term in office, underlining that Japan remains a reliable partner for Serbia and that there is a mutual dedication to further deepening friendly relations and cooperation in the future.
The interlocutors agreed that relations between Serbia and Japan are characterised by mutual respect, trust and a common interest in stability and development, expressing their conviction that successful cooperation will continue in the period ahead.
