Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić met today, during an official visit to the Republic of Mali, with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Abdoulaye Diop as well as with the Minister of Security and Civil Protection, General Daoud Aly Mohammedine.

Potential for improving cooperation with Republic of Mali in several areas

The interlocutors discussed the traditionally friendly, decades-long relations between the two countries, based on mutual respect and understanding since the time of the Non-Aligned Movement, as well as the possibilities for improving bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Mali.
They agreed that there is room for strengthening cooperation in areas of common interest, such as the economy, internal affairs and security.
Dačić underlined that Serbia and Mali share common values, such as respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty, in accordance with international law.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the exchange of visits at the high and highest levels will give additional impetus to the strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries.
