Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić spoke today with OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Christophe Kamp about the current cooperation and joint efforts of the Ministry of the Interior and this important international organisation with the aim of greater representation of members of national minorities in the Serbian police.

It was emphasised at the meeting that the Ministry of the Interior consistently respects all the rights of members of national minorities guaranteed by the Constitution and law and devotes significant attention to creating better conditions and additional incentives for their work in this institution.
Dačić said that greater representation of members of national minorities in the police, especially in multiethnic communities, is also important for strengthening citizens’ trust in the police.
