Serbia, Italy enhance cooperation in tackling organised crime

The Serbian Ministry of Interior said that police director Milorad Veljovic discussed bilateral cooperation today with Italian Ambassador to Serbia Alessandro Merola. The two officials particularly focused on the fight against organised crime, illegal migrations, human trafficking and terrorism.

Veljovic and Merola also talked about the training of Serbian police officers as part of “Pericles 2006”programme. The meeting was also attended by immigration expert Alessandra Manuguerra and Fabrizio Fantini from the Italian Interpol unit.
