Seminar “Reporting EU Integration” begins

The Serbian government’s EU Integration Office has stated that a three-day seminar titled “Reporting EU Integration” is beginning today in Belgrade. The seminar is intended for journalists working with local television stations, and has been organised by the EU Integration Office, with financial support by the European Agency for Reconstruction.
The aim of the seminar is to acquaint journalists with EU institutions, the way they function, their representatives in Belgrade, information sources on the EU, technical aspects of using these sources, ways of reporting on the EU and the work done by the EU Integration Office.
It is envisaged that during their three-day stay in Belgrade, the journalists will prepare television reports which will be shown during the regular television programme schedule.
The seminar has been prepared for journalists working in eight local television stations (RTV Valjevo, RTV Kraljevo, TV Cacak, TV Pirot, TV Kragujevac, RTV 5 Nis, RTV Pancevo and TV Panonija) who specialise in reporting on social, political and economic events.
