At today’s session, the Serbian government adopted the Decree on the approval of the Programme for the allocation and use of funds from the Roof 2025 surcharge postage stamp, which was issued on 12 September.
Through this programme, the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration provides support to internally displaced persons to improve living conditions while they are displaced by facilitating the purchase of rural households.
Government members also adopted decisions on awarding monetary prizes to athletes who won gold, silver and bronze medals at the World Championships in Olympic disciplines, as well as to athletes who won medals at the World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi.
The cabinet also adopted the Decree on the types of River Information Services (RIS) and the beginning of their mandatory implementation, in order to ensure safer navigation on waterways in Serbia.
These services can display on a radar screen all vessels in the immediate vicinity that have equipment and devices for using RIS services, enabling the planning of safe navigation for vessels.
It has been observed that non-self-propelled ferries, which lack the ability to power equipment and devices for using RIS services, are invisible on the radars of ships approaching ferry crossings and can pose a hazard to safe navigation.
The new regulation prescribes the obligation that a boat operating a non-self-propelled ferry on waterways where the use of RIS is mandatory must be equipped with devices to use these services.
