Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić hosted a gala lunch today on the occasion of the visit of heads of diplomatic missions and representatives of international organisations in the Republic of Serbia to the municipality of Topola, as part of the traditional activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs aimed at promoting the cultural and historical heritage of Serbia.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps visited the historical complex of Karađorđev Grad in Topola, the Church of St. George, the endowment of King Peter I Karađorđević, as well as the Royal Winery, one of the symbols of the winemaking tradition of this region.
The guests were particularly impressed by a tour of the endowment complex in Oplenac, where they had the opportunity to learn about the cultural and spiritual heritage of Serbian statehood and the Karađorđević dynasty.
At the gala lunch organised on this occasion, Đurić, addressing the gathering, emphasised that this meeting is an opportunity to present the beauty and potential of Šumadija.
Topola and Oplenac are a place where the past, tradition and vision of the future come together, which is the message we want to send - that we build relationships of mutual trust, understanding and cooperation with friends from all over the world, said Đurić.
