The statement notes that the meeting took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, with a strong mutual commitment to strengthening economic ties.
On behalf of Serbia, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Professor Dragan Glamočić, PhD, addressed the participants, emphasising the importance of cooperation in agriculture and the food industry.
Glamočić underlined that Serbia has great potential both in the export of agricultural products and in investments in production capacities.
Serbia is a friend of China, and we wish to advance our cooperation through concrete business arrangements. Together we can create new value and open new markets, the Minister said.
At the meeting, interest in cooperation was expressed by corporations such as Xiamen C&D Corp., Xiamen ITG Holding Group, Seashine Group, Zijin Mining Group, Lonjing Environment Technology and others.
Following the official part, a presentation of Serbian agricultural products was organised, which attracted considerable attention from the hosts and served as an opportunity for informal networking.
It was concluded that there is great potential for new investments and projects within the China-Serbia Free Trade Agreement, and the contacts established in Xiamen will serve as an important foundation for future cooperatioan.
