The expected long-term turnover of these contracts is estimated at $15 million, the Agency said and added that Serbian companies made around 1,000 contacts at the fair which was held from July 9 to 11.
The participation of Serbian firms at the New York fair was financed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, with the support of SIEPA, USAID and the Serbian Enterprise Development Project (SEDP).
Domestic companies, namely Agranela, Agrokula, Arex, Aroma, As group, Foodex, Foodland, Igda, Interfood 60, Marni, Navip, Nectar, Malina Produkt, Pionir, Sirogojno, Stara Sokolova, Woolf Export and Zadrugar, had their exhibition stalls at the SerbianFruit pavilion.
This national stand of 170 square meters, modernly designed and according to many visitors, the most beautiful at the entire fair, attracted a very large number of foreign buyers, who were especially interested in forest mushrooms and truffles, jams, ajvar, plum brandy "sljivovica" and Serbian wines.
