Vojislav Vukcevic
“No one can be compelled to exercise their rights,” Vukcevic told Novi Sad daily Gradjanski List today, adding that it is on the Diaspora to decide whether it wants to use the opportunity to vote or not.
According to the Minister, Serbian citizens living abroad say that they lack information on the election or that their papers have expired. Some say that they lack interest and confidence in Serbia and that they could be taxed for registering to vote, or even be summoned to a court, he added.
Vukcevic also called for allowing the Diaspora to vote by mail.
