The Ministry of Defence announced today that a regular replacement of the Serbian Armed Forces contingent deployed in the “East” sector has been carried out in the United Nations peacekeeping operation in Lebanon.
The statement states that an infantry company of the Serbian Armed Forces, staff officers and a group of specialists responsible for supporting our contingent are engaged in this sector.
Over the past six months, they have responsibly and professionally carried out all tasks as part of the UN Interim Force in Lebanon, in accordance with the high standards of conduct of members of the Serbian Armed Forces, and after handing over their duties to our new contingent, today officially completed their successful engagement in the peacekeeping operation.
