Foreign investment promotion and development strategy to improve business climate in Serbia

Assistant Minister of International Economic Relations Velimir Gavrilovic announced today the adoption of new laws on foreign investments and science parks.
In a seminar organised in Mt Kopaonik., Gavrilovic pointed to the importance of implementing the foreign investment promotion and development strategy which is important for promoting the business climate in Serbia.
He informed participants of the seminar about the activities of the Ministry in improving the legal framework for investment.
Gavrilovic stressed the importance of reforming the legislation in the area of ownership of construction land, and particularly laws regulating restitution and privatisation of construction land.
He also spoke of the importance of marketing at the national level in drawing foreign investors, but also at the internal level so that citizens could get fully informed on the contribution of foreign investment in improving the living standard in Serbia, according to the statement.
