Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić stated today that all fire and rescue units, as well as the Helicopter Unit, are on the ground due to the large number of fires and severe storms that have affected Serbia.

Dačić specified that all human and technical capacities of the Emergency Situations Sector of the Ministry of the Interior are engaged in extinguishing the fires, of which there were 197 yesterday, while today that number has already exceeded 200.
The situation is extremely difficult, and at the same time other parts of Serbia have also been affected by storms with rain, hail and strong winds, the Deputy Prime Minister stated.
He called on all citizens to be cautious and act responsibly, in order to reduce the possibility of the human factor being the cause of fires.
