Minister of Sport Zoran Gajić and his Russian counterpart Mikhail Degtyarev signed today a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports.
The Memorandum, which was signed after a bilateral meeting of representatives of the ministries of sports of the two countries, formalises joint activities that will contribute to the exchange of knowledge, the improvement of sports programmes, support for young athletes and the intensification of international sports cooperation.
A delegation of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation is on a two-day visit to Serbia, during which numerous bilateral, cultural and sports activities are planned, including attendance at friendly matches between the men's and women's volleyball teams of Serbia and Russia, as well as sightseeing in Belgrade.
After signing the Memorandum, the delegations laid wreaths together at the Cemetery of the Liberators of Belgrade.
