The Ministry of Defence said in a statement that its “Stanislav Binički” Art Ensemble and the Guards Band of the Austrian Armed Forces held a joint concert last night at the House of the Serbian Armed Forces in Belgrade.
Acting Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Predrag Bandić stated that the joint performance of the Serbian and Austrian orchestras celebrates the friendship and mutual respect between the two countries.
Bandić noted that the “Stanislav Binički” Ensemble is a representative institution of the Public Relations Directorate, which, with its high art standards and diverse repertoire, serves as a distinguished representative of Serbian culture and art tradition.
Austrian Ambassador in Belgrade Christian Ebner said that the joint performance of the Serbian and Austrian orchestras represents a powerful expression of the close ties between the two countries and reflects the lasting friendship of their institutions, firmly based on shared history and mutual interests.
Following their first joint concert at the end of last year, held in the Sofiensaal concert hall in Vienna, last night’s performance marks the continuation of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of military music and the promotion of international military cooperation in the area of culture.
