Macura holds important bilateral meetings in Yerevan

Minister without portfolio in charge of coordinating activities in the field of gender equality, prevention of violence against women and economic and political empowerment of women Tatjana Macura met today in Yerevan with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó and Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro for Foreign and European Affairs Filip Ivanović.

During a meeting with Szijjártó, on the sidelines of the international conference “Yerevan Dialogue 2025“, Macura emphasised that the strategic partnership between Serbia and Hungary confirms the mutual commitment to further development and preservation of peace and stability in our region.

She expressed her gratitude to Hungary for its consistent and strong support for Serbia's European path, emphasising the importance of cooperation between the two countries in areas of common interest.

During the talks with the Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro, the two officials jointly confirmed the importance of regional cooperation in the context of European integration and Macura particularly emphasised the importance of exchanging good practices and experiences on the path to the European Union.

The construction of the Belgrade-Podgorica highway was also discussed, as well as the implementation of measures on both sides of the border to accelerate the flow of tourists in the summer months, in order to avoid hours-long waits.

Macura also spoke with Palestinian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Aghabekian Shaheen about the importance of achieving lasting peace, and Shaheen expressed her gratitude for the humanitarian aid delivered to Gaza.
