Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Academician Bela Balint met with the European Investment Bank’s (EIB) representatives led by Head of Regional Representation to the Western Balkans Damien Sorrell today to discuss cooperation to date and options for development in the period ahead.

Cooperation with EIB on implementation of important projects in field of science

Balint recalled that the EIB has been present in Serbia since 2010 and that its funds are of enormous significance for financing projects in fields of science and technology.
Noting that the ongoing €200 million loan contributes significantly to the development of science and other key areas, the Minister assessed that the EIB’s continued support will enable the implementation of projects that will advance Serbia’s scientific and technological development, as well as the attainment of goals in the area of innovation.
Highlighting the importance of cooperation to date, Sorrell expressed confidence that cooperation in the period ahead will be even more successful, particularly through investment in science and research, noting that Serbia is a regional leader in the areas of innovation and development.
