Application of Montenegrin citizens for obtaining Serbian citizenship underway

The Serbian Ministry of Interior stated that all citizens of the Republic of Serbia who have the Montenegrin citizenship and had a registered residence in Serbia while it was part of the state union of Serbia-Montenegro may apply for the Serbian citizenship.
Together with an application, they should submit a birth certificate (those married should also enclose the marriage certificate), a proof of Montenegrin citizenship, and a copy of identity card.
