Minister of Justice Nenad Vujić met today with Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the United States of America in the Republic of Serbia Alexander Titola.
The meeting was dedicated to discussing bilateral cooperation between Serbia and the United States, as well as the plans of the Ministry of Justice in the coming period.
Vujić informed Titola about the planned normative activities of the Ministry of Justice, emphasising the importance of improving the legal framework, both in the interest of the citizens of Serbia themselves, and due to the international obligations of the Republic of Serbia, defined primarily in Chapter 23 and the Reform Agenda accompanying the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.
The Minister of Justice said that the United States has been a long-standing, important partner of the Ministry of Justice in implementing very important reform processes, especially in the field of criminal law.
I believe that in the future we will continue to cooperate closely in order to further improve our relations through the exchange of knowledge and experience, the Minister of Justice said.
The Minister of Justice and the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy expressed satisfaction with the successful development of bilateral cooperation and emphasised expectations that successful cooperation will continue in the future, according to a statement from the Ministry of Justice.
