Minister for Family Care and Demography Jelena Žarić Kovačević met today with United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Representative in Serbia Deyana Kostadinova to discuss improving overall cooperation and further strengthening the partnership in the most important areas of child and family protection, early development and inclusive education.

Žarić Kovačević assessed that strong cooperation has been developed in recent years, but that there is room for its intensification, as well as the development and implementation of joint initiatives and actions to further empower and support young people in the country.
Kostadinova praised the Ministry’s efforts to create a better environment for children to live and grow up.
She expressed her readiness to implement plans and projects of mutual importance, as they are, above all, in the interest of the youngest.
