The Republic of Serbia being the successor of the state union of Serbia-Montenegro is obliged to respect the rights that all citizens of Serbia-Montenegro with residence in Serbia had while the state union existed. Therefore, it is in the interest of Serbia and all its citizens to grant citizenship to Montenegrin citizens living in Serbia in accordance with provisions of the Law on citizenship of the Republic of Serbia, according to the Declaration.
The government set up a bill ending the validity of the Law on Police Academy, which will make it possible for the establishment of a criminal and police academy.
The government also established bills amending the Law on judges, Law on court organisation and the Law on seats and areas of courts and public prosecutor’s offices.
The government appointed Deputy Prime Minister Ivana Dulic-Markovic as head of the negotiating team for Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) talks with the EU.
Also, a Decree on terms and ways of stimulating foreign investments was adopted today in the session.
The government passed a Decree on the terms and ways to conduct company internationalisation.
The government also adopted amendments to Decision on the criteria to determine customs quotas regarding the import of certain goods.
It also gave consent to the decision made by the general assembly of the weapon maker Zastava Oruzje to shift from a socially-owned to a joint stock company.
The government also decided to set aside 45 million dinars from the current budgetary reserve as its participation in marking Nikola Tesla's 150th birth anniversary, as well as 15 million dinars as support for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Belgrade's Atelje 212 theatre.
The government adopted the Information concerning the drafting of a national strategy of sustainable use of natural resources and the Information on the continuation of the project themed "Towards a More Efficient Reform Implementation".
