Kragujevac-Batocina highway to contribute to development of Kragujevac's economy

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said today that Kragujevac-Batocina highway that will be completed by the end of next year will attract domestic and foreign investors and contribute to the development of Kragujevac's economy.
This highway will bring the region closer to the Belgrade-Nis main highway, which will make it more attractive to foreign investors.
Serbian Prime Minister announced that a five kilometre highway section Kragujevac-Batocina will be completed by year's end, and the remaining 20 kilometres by late 2007.
According to Kostunica, the entire investment is €30 million and 70% of it has been provided from the budget, whereas the rest of the funds will be financed by the City of Kragujevac.
Kostunica and government members arrived in Kragujevac today to hold the first regular government session outside Belgrade.
