On the inaugural day the forum will be addressed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, and the plenary session will be opened by Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov.
During the two-day meeting of the 10th Petersburg International Economic Forum the most important current themes of world economy will be viewed, such as modern challenges offered by globalisation, comparative advantages of developing countries and new instruments of investment policy.
Several round tables will be held within the framework of the forum, and more than 1500 representatives of Russian and foreign corporate businesses, government representatives, economists and foreign leaders will attend the event.
