Prime Minister Miloš Vučević stated today that students who do not want to participate in the blockades of faculties have the right to take exams, noting that he expects deans and professors to understand these students as well.
Today, Vučević held a meeting with legitimately and legally elected student representatives of all universities in Serbia and emphasised that these students are very concerned about whether and how this semester will be completed and the January exam period organised.
The Prime Minister specified that the student representatives presented him with numerous questions to which they expect answers, as well as help from the state. They are interested in whether tuition fees will be reduced because they did not have classes due to the faculty blockades, what will happen to those who were supposed to graduate during this period, but were prevented from doing so, and employment is waiting for them, and numerous other matters related to their standards, he said.
Vučević assessed that it is unacceptable for professors to divide students into those who protest and those who want to go to classes, with the latter being mostly discriminated against.
The Prime Minister said that he expects deans and professors to understand both, because the majority of students do not participate in the blockades.
Vučević reiterated that the government has met all the demands of the students who are blocking universities, noting that everything else that is taking place is pure politicisation.
