The meeting also looked at the prevention of violence against women and good practices that can be applied to EU member states, as well as those in the process of accession.
During the talks, special attention was paid to the position of persons with disabilities, who are often additionally vulnerable to domestic violence.
The FRA Director praised Serbia’s efforts to date and underlined readiness to support the further strengthening of the country’s capacities in the field of human rights and the fight against all forms of violence.
