Serbia's business environment becomes attractive

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica opened today water and beverage company Sinalko Srbija in Banja Vrujci and said that the event resulted from good business decisions made by Sinalko and Si&Si Group companies, who through mutual interest saw the advantages of Serbia's business environment.

Kostunica said that attracting investors is a huge success, though a greater one is to keep them here and enable them to accomplish their long-term interests right here in Serbia. He therefore voiced his pleasure at attending one such event that resulted from good business decisions made by Sinalko and Si&Si Group companies, which he praised for having realised the advantages of Serbia's business environment.

"This is undoubtedly the merit of the Serbian government as well, and proof of the righteousness of our policy, which aims to create as favourable an investment climate as possible. Through such aims, the government is helping investors make decisions beneficial both for them and our country's economy", said Kostunica.

The Prime Minister said that the opening of the factory is encouraging for the government, as well as confirmation that they are making the right moves. Existence of companies that have the word "Srbija" in their name, such as Sinalko Srbija, and in which foreign capital came through Greenfield investments, clearly shows that the government has succeeded in creating an attractive business environment through harmonised political actions, he added.

"The Serbian government will continue to help investors come to Serbia more easily. The formula is quite simple: good deals for them and new jobs, knowledge and technologies for us. In such business ventures, interest is healthy only when it is mutual. With this government at the helm, Serbia sees in it primarily a means to accelerate the country's economic development, which in fact means we will get nearer to our basic goal, and that is to make every citizen live better in a stable and well-ordered state", explained the Prime Minister.

Kostunica added that the founding of a joint company Sinalko Srbija is a good example of the aforementioned , because the whole event is not only about a change in the name, but also about the adoption of a new business philosophy and technology.

"It is about products getting a new design and the knowledge and experience of the employees being fruitfully combined with Sinalko company's high standards", explained Kostunica, adding that Sinalko Srbija is a modern company, doing business at the highest international standards.

"These are the standards we must adopt in order to be integrated into international business and economic trends. This is why today we are making a highly significant step towards a faster growth of the Serbian economy's competitiveness in the European and international markets", concluded Kostunica.
