Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica met today with footballers of the national team who will represent Serbia-Montenegro in the World Cup to be held in Germany.

Kostunica wished success to Serbia-Montenegrin footballers in the forthcoming championship, adding that the main virtue of our national team is its harmony.
Football is an important thing for a country that qualified for the World Cup finals, Kostunica said and adding that success in this competition would be an even greater achievement.
The Prime Minister promised the government’s support to the national football team for final preparations before the championship to the amount of 25 million dinars.
President of the Serbia-Montenegrin Football Association Tomislav Karadzic thanked the Serbian Prime Minister for today’s reception and noted that the team has much inner strength and will do everything to live up to the nation’s expectations.
Selector Ilija Petkovic also expressed thanks for the reception hosted by the Prime Minister and promised that the national team will adequately represent our country in this big competition.
Footballers presented the Prime Minister with the national team colours with number 10 on it as well as a ball with signatures of all the players.
