Italy to assist Serbian interior ministry

Serbian Minister of Interior Dragan Jocic met today with Italian National Anti-Mafia Prosecutor Pietro Grasso.
The Ministry of Interior says in a statement that they discussed the perspectives for improving bilateral cooperation in fighting organised crime.
They also pointed out the necessity of cooperation in other areas, further development of cooperation between analytical services and joint trainings, as well as of Italy's assistance in drafting regulations regarding the interior affairs sector, in line with EU standards and regulations.
Jocic congratulated Grasso on Italy's recent achievement against the mafia, when on April 11 a mafia boss, Bernardo Provenzano, was finally arrested after 40 years in hiding, concludes the statement.
