Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić met today with Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu on the sidelines of the general debate of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Discussing bilateral cooperation, Đurić pointed out that there is strong interest in improving the political dialogue at the high and highest levels.
The head of Serbian diplomacy expressed his gratitude to Kazakhstan for its consistent position on non-recognition of unilaterally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo, as well as providing full and unreserved support for the preservation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, in accordance with the principles of the UN Charter and relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council.
The ministers discussed areas of mutual interest, with Đurić noting that Serbia is particularly interested in improving cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, transport, and agriculture, with the use of the most modern innovative technologies.
During today's meeting in New York, the head of Serbian diplomacy repeated the invitation to the Kazakh side to participate in the upcoming specialised exhibition EXPO 2027, hosted by Serbia.
