Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarović and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó announced, after a meeting in Budapest, that a feasibility study will be completed by the end of the year for a new oil pipeline between Serbia and Hungary, which should be built by 2027.

At the joint press conference, she stated that preparations are under way for the construction of a new transmission line between the two countries, which should be completed in 2028.
The Minister of Economy recalled that the overall foreign trade between Serbia and Hungary stood at €3.1 billion in 2023, reaching €1.8 billion since the beginning of this year.
Szijjártó noted that strategic cooperation between the economies of Serbia and Hungary is necessary, adding that thanks to cooperation so far, the two countries have managed to ensure the security of energy supply.
