Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić attended today in Guangzhou the final exercise of the special units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia and the Ministry of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China.
The exercise, in which 13 Serbian and 47 Chinese police officers participated, was also attended by Deputy Director of the Public Security Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security Tian Yonghao and Vice-Governor of Guangdong Province and Director of the Provincial Public Security Department Liu Guozhou.
Dačić also visited six Serbian police officers participating in joint police patrols in Guangzhou together with their Chinese colleagues.
The patrols, which will last for a month, will also be held in other southern provinces of China, such as Hainan and Zhejiang.
The goal of the joint patrols is to provide assistance to Serbian tourists and to create a safe tourist environment by providing support to the police officers of the Ministry of Public Security, in communication with Serbian citizens in the People’s Republic of China.
