At a roundtable discussion themed "Serbs and Their Neighbours: Road to Europe", Loncar stressed that last year, Serbia successfully set off on its road to Europe, adding that the political priority in the country is to continue this process.
Loncar said he hopes the Serbian government will do its best to continue the EU integration process, and especially the cooperation with the Hague Tribunal.
Apart from everything that the government has so far done, we cannot say that this is a political issue in Serbia, but rather a technical one, said Loncar. He added that the issue of cooperation with the Tribunal will be solved in a very short time, as soon as it is established whether there are any Hague indictees on the territory of Serbia.
Speaking about Kosovo-Metohija, Loncar said that for the represent, all participants in the negotiations, namely Belgrade, Pristina and the international mediator, are responsible for the success or failure of the talks.
In a statement to the Beta news agency, he said he had acquainted the participants of the discussion with the necessity of finding a joint denominator that will be a part of the political compromise on the Kosovo future status. The compromise must be reached in talks between Belgrade and Pristina and under the auspices of the international community.
