Prime Minister Miloš Vučević underlined today, during a tour of the final works on the reconstruction of the Multifunctional Cultural Centre in Pirot, that this local self-government will get a facility that is worthy of any European city.
Vučević explained that this renovated building of the former Army House will be a modern Multifunctional Centre, noting that the City of Pirot recognised the importance of this project, while the Ministry of Culture and the Government helped in its implementation.
He also noted that while touring the IT centre within this facility together with Minister of Culture Nikola Selaković and Minister for Public Investment Darko Glišić, he was informed that a company from the Republic of South Africa had opened two IT companies in Pirot.
Mayor of Pirot Vladan Vasić pointed out that Pirot will get a representative building as a result of the project, adding that the facility will house cultural institutions that did not have enough space, as well as other organisations dealing with sports, culture, folklore, and the like.
Vasić added that more than 1,200 square metres, out of a total of about 5,000, will be dedicated to the development of the IT sector, and that a completely new 600-seat hall of the Army House was also built as part of the project.
